Introduction

Just wanted to start a blog. To let people know what I am seeing out there in the staffing world as well as other interesting topics. To give you an overview I am an a Account Manager for Aerotek in Hagerstown, MD. My territory covers Chambersburg, PA down to Winchester, VA on Route 81. I specialize in construction staffing but there is a lot that goes into that. I also do skilled trades staffing for many warehousing companies. Right now I have an opening for an inspector for a warehousing company in Chambersburg, PA. They do a lot of work with Letterkenny Army Depot and are really starting to prosper. I do a lot of construction management, geotechnical, civil and environmental staffing as well. We offer our clients a wide array of services to help them find the right candidate for a position. For a candidate we serve as a employment consultant allowing them to see what opportunities are out there to help them better their career. Aerotek is a national company with over 150 offices nationwide and we are just starting to boost a global presence. On the personal side of things. I live in Hagerstown, MD but was born and raised just across the Mason-Dixon line in Waynesboro, PA. My favorite sports are basketball, baseball, football and golf. I am a big Ravens, Orioles, Capitals and Wizards fan. My true love is college basketball. I went to school at Mount Saint Mary's University in Emmitsburg, MD. I was blessed enough to get the opportunity to walk on my college's basketball team and practice with them my freshman year. The rest of my time there was spent as the head basketball manager for the men's basketball team. This gave me to go to New York City for the first time and now I can say I've been to New York City over ten time. I love NYC but would never want to live there. I will leave that to my sister Emily who works for a PR firm in Manhattan and lives in Spanish Harlem. My other sister Katie will be a senior at UNC Wilmington in the fall. Both of my sisters were Division 1 swimmers and gave me many opportunities to travel with them growing up to watch their swim meets. When I was at the Mount I was lucky enough to sit on the bench when we played such schools as University of Cal Berkeley, University of Texas, Baylor, Notre Dame, Virginia, Virginia Tech, and University of Maryland. My parents live in Blue Ridge Summit, PA where i was born in raised right across from the Underground Pentagon aka Site R aka Raven Rock. That is all I have for now.
